There may not be many table d'hôtes in the Beau Pays, but their reputation is well established.
Jean-Marc and Ariane KICHENASSAMY have been running the Citronnelles table d'hôtes for over 20 years. Here you can sample traditional Creole cuisine prepared with produce from the farmyard and vegetable garden. Imagine savouring your wild boar stew or fish and vegetables on the veranda, gazing out over the neighbouring cane fields and the sea. The smiles of your hosts will remain etched in your memory long after you've met them.
At the end of the Route de Fleurs, in Beaumont les Hauts (insert link to PROFIT / 4 breathtaking panoramas), stands the famous Piton Fougères inn. Monsieur Robert's extraordinary friendliness is matched only by his taste for Creole cuisine, which he defends with great fervour. Sausages, poultry from the courtyard and a specific boucané technique are all on the menu. If you're a sausage lover, you'll love the Piton Fougères table d'hôtes. M.ROBERT has created his own technique for producing boucané! In fact, the local TV programme "Epicurien à table" chose to start its series of reports with this table d'hôtes. Restaurants :
A place of history and memory. A totally atypical restaurant, housed in a former leper colony that has become a place of remembrance and exhibition. A warm, wooded room, a wall of rums to awaken the senses. The menu is pure and simple, with a focus on Creole cuisine, with its classic, friendly recipes, in an intimate, wooded atmosphere. The best thing about the place: discover the history of the leper colony and wander through the nearby village.
Réunion and all its flavours have given birth to some great Chefs. Tasting their cuisine is a privilege. For example :
Finally, the originality of "chefs à domicile" means you can add a festive touch to your own table, while making the most of your guests' presence.
Several chefs offer their services in the Beau Pays. Homme Cooking Réunion, for example, specialises in meals for small groups. His culinary proposals cover a very wide range, including metropolitan, Creole and vegetarian cuisine, as well as a few festive dishes: couscous, paella, fondues... the list goes on.
